I designed an art doll based off of the sculpture for a big project. This project will hopefully get me into college (again). I'm going for a degree in Toy Design. So I made a doll based off of my own *shrug*.

This doll was my first attempt at making a doll without an armature inside (he's floppy). I based his body off of a TY beanie baby. Floppy Dolls are WAY more annoying than posable ones.

Aha! I saw your thread on gaia, and recognized these from seeing them a few days ago, glad you made a floppy one :) They are both adorable.

Haha, wow. Yeah...I ended up having to figure it out on my own. My solution wasn't perfect, so I hope to learn a better way to do it eventually. Thanks!

He's really neat; I'm a big fan of soft dolls with sculpted parts. Both sculpture and doll have great colors.

I always thought they might be, I think i I made a floppy I'd probably still make a yarn armature on the inside to even it out LOL =) Very cute!

It's a lot easier to sew around a structure, and you don't have to find a way to attach the hard pieces.
