Kirin Rat by MiiruFae Kirin Rat by MiiruFae
I started off sculpting a rat (based off my own pets), but lost interest in the project...so I made it into a "kirin" rat. Whether that was a good decision or not- I suppose it's up to you. This is as finished as it's going to be. I'm not sure what to do with him...maybe I'll scrap him for the clay.

I wonder if the kirin is the ghost or revenant of a child who died unbaptized. It jumps on your back and makes you take it to the graveyard. Give it a NAME and it'll be grateful.

If only. He is, unfortunately, long scraped and turned into something else.

Do you use a wire frame? If so where do you get the wire from? This is gorgeous by the way <3

It's a wire and tin foil frame. The wire is 18 gauge (a wider gauge probably would've been better in this case), I actually got it from my school's 3D supply store- So I'm not really sure what to tell you. Internet?

It's amazing, the anatomy of the rat is perfect (something I'd love to be able to do!) and the addition of the kirin side to him is really imaginative. You should at least bake him so he doesn't get ruined.

Alas, I've already stripped him of his clay to use for other projects :( But he will live on in photographs.
